SHOE THERAPY

Posted on

Ever had a feeling of being  divided within yourself.  One part likes/wants/thinks/ feels one way.  Another part almost the opposite.

“I should do ‘A’ ” versus  “I want to do ‘Z’ ”

It could be ‘Sensible and Practical’ versus ‘Creative and Imaginitive’ for instance

We all have many aspects to ouselves but sometimes two major parts clash or become conflicted.

If that’s how you’ve been feeling or sometimes feel, try now to identify, seperately, the characteristics of both parts.  You don’t need to judge them – there are probably ‘good’ and ‘bad’ aspects to both but that’s not the point right now

And that – in my view is where shoes come in….

Think of the characteristics of the first part you identified.  For instance – practical, bossy and clunky.  Imagine shoes that would fit that desciption.  Say – black lace up school mistressy shoes with a small stacked heel – comfortable and well made.
Now think of the characteristics of the other part.  Say – imaginitive, quirky and creative.  Now imagine the shoes that fit that description.  Perhaps they’re multi coloured, pointed, high heels with a butterfly on the side.

This is where the magic comes in….

I’m going to count to three while you close your eyes.  (Go on – close your eyes now – just imagine it…)  And I click my fingers (Yes! I do! Just for you!)
And you see –  A WHOLE NEW PAIR OF SHOES – which combine the positives of both pairs.  Perhaps they’re comfortable – with a low stacked heel, but colouful and quirky.

And then… even better… YOU GET TO WEAR YOUR SHOES.  They’re yours.  To keep. Try them on.  Feel how good you feel in them.   Enjoy wearing them!

And here’s some extra news.  I’ve been working with the very talented Raf Malanga to re-do my website.  Do please take a look – you can download relaxations there and browse around it.  And let me know what you think.

Have a wonderful month.  February’s not necessarily fifty shades of grey…  There are snowdrops everywhere and little green shoots and bursts of blue sky.  Notice a miracle every day.
